Isle of Wight Retreat
12-15 November 2026

Enjoy a 3-night retreat at this stunning location on the south downs of the Isle of Wight where the nature and beauty of both the house grounds and the Downs, which overlook the sea, are literally on our doorstep.  We are returning once more to this fantastic venue and location, both of which lend themselves to time away from the busy-ness of daily life. A real opportunity to escape into the energies of place and practice to equip you for the winter season ahead.

Venue and Accommodation

For this retreat we will be staying at Northcourt House.  This is an amazing venue on the south of the Isle of Wight, just a short ferry trip from Southampton, Portsmouth or Lymington.  There is a choice of rooms with either single or twin/double rooms.  Most rooms are en-suite or the bathrooms are shared with just one other room.

T

here is a communal lounge space with a wood-burning stove, ideal for relaxing with a hot drink on cold autumn days.  Yoga classes take place in the old ballroom and there is a big friendly kitchen where we congregate for meal times.

Guests have access to the beautifully kept grounds which have been lovingly restored and developed by the current owners. John, the owner, is usually happy to do guided tours of the grounds at some point during our stay.

If you are coming by car please ensure that you book your ferry tickets ahead of your trip.  Check out the Northcourt House website for details on arrival by public transport.  In previous years participants have been put in touch with each other to share transport or arrange lifts once on the island.

Practices

Retreats provide an ideal opportunity to explore and develop your yoga and meditation practice.  Throughout the weekend practices are built up systematically to ensure that whether you are new to yoga or an experienced practitioner you have the opportunity to truly explore the possibilities that lie within these time tested techniques. We hope you will leave with a wealth of practices and experiences to take back into your daily life.

Tulsi (Nickie) and Nick (Sw SatyaDaya) are passionate about the practices they share and aim to make these accessible and meaningful to all who attend.

On this retreat there will be a focus on discovering balance in all aspects of life. We will work with the practices of asana (physical postures), pranayama (breath awareness and expansion), Yoga Nidra (deep relaxation) and meditation. â€‹
