Iona Retreat
29 May to 5 June 2027
Enjoy a 7-night retreat on this spectacular island, known for centuries as a place of deep peace and spiritual renewal.
Iona is known as a ‘thin place’ – a place where we are more able to connect with the peace that lies at the heart of our being.
Our practice includes time and space to explore and simply be on this magical island. We spend a day with thousands of seabirds on the Treshnish Islands (weather permitting) – famous for breeding puffins (the cost of this trip is extra).

Venue and Accommodation
For this retreat we will be staying at Ardbeg on Iona just off Mull, Scotland. We have used this popular property for a number of our retreats. It is opposite the beach and has a very popular a hot tub with views to the sea. All rooms are either double or twin share.
There is a lovely communal and dining space and the house is within easy walking distance of all the Island attractions. Our yoga practice takes place in the island community centre which is about 10 minutes walk away.

Practices
Retreats provide an ideal opportunity to explore and develop your yoga and meditation practice. Throughout the week practices are built up systematically to ensure that whether you are new to yoga or an experienced practitioner you have the opportunity to truly explore the possibilities that lie within these time tested techniques. We hope you will leave with a wealth of practices and experiences to take back into your daily life.
Tulsi (Nickie) and Nick (Sw SatyaDaya) are passionate about the practices they share and aim to make these accessible and meaningful to all who attend.
On this retreat we will take the opportunity to work with practices that help us connect with the energies that this special island has to offer. Practices will include asana (physical postures), pranayama (breath awareness and expansion), Yoga Nidra (deep relaxation) and meditation.
Timetable
Arrival at the venue is from 4pm on Saturday with supper at 18:30, followed by a short session to meet each other and discuss our time together. The retreat timetable will be as follows:
7:30 Hatha Yoga
9:30 Breakfast
16:00 Session
18:30 Supper
20:00 Session
There are spaces in the timetable for you to walk, explore the Island and all it has to offer, read, share time with new friends and equally important to create spaciousness around our time in practice. One day there will be the option for a boat trip to the Treshnish Islands to see the puffins (additional cost tbc)
The retreat finishes with breakfast on Saturday.

All food is home cooked and vegetarian. We prepare and cook all the meals on site each day.
