What to expect on workshops

Essential Nature Yoga Workshops are a great way to experience our teachings prior to attending a retreat. Or for those who enjoy our retreats they are an opportunity to reconnect with us and the practices.

Workshops include a combination of hatha yoga (asana/physical practice and pranayama/breath work), meditation, chanting and Yoga Nidra (deep relaxation).

These sessions can take place either online or in person.

If you would like us to organise additional workshops for you or your students please get in touch.

Taking the step (on-line workshop)

22nd March online workshop

Our Spring morning workshop focuses on our sense of alive-ness and the potential for growth and possibility that each of us embody in our own way

- all that is asked of us is that we take a step.

"Whatever you can do, or dream you can do, begin it. Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it. Begin it now."

Goethe

Our morning together includes hatha yoga (asana & pranayama), Yoga Nidra and meditation.

Sunday 22nd March 9:30-12:30

There is no fixed price to join in this morning of practice - you pay what you can afford at the time.

Exploring Meditation and Yoga Nidra

This day is an opportunity to immerse yourself in the practices of Meditation and Yoga Nidra, to get an insight into the teaching style and approach of these two highly experienced teachers – and to find out more about the logistics of the short courses. The day will begin with a hatha practice before focussing on meditation and will end with Yoga Nidra. There will be plenty of time for discussion including information about the short courses that Essential Nature offer on these subjects.

Exploring Surya Namaskara

Exploring Surya Namakar workshop

Surya Namaskara is often seen as a cornerstone of traditional yoga practice. It can sometimes feel inaccessible to some students, or over time the practice can become stale.

In these workshop we will explore each of the postures within the Surya Namaskara sequence, making them increasingly accessible and meaningful. We will develop the energetic aspects of the practice by discovering the impact of focusing on the chakras (energy centres) as we move and the impact of introducing mantra into the practice. Simple visualisation will be used to enhance the overall accessibility and experience of this timeless practice.

These workshops, led by Nickie (Tulsi) are appropriate for students of all levels of experience.  The days will comprise asana, pranayama, mantra and yoga nidra practices.
